Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that farmers in Uttar Pradesh are angry with Mayawati Government for their bad acquisition policy. People get the proper prices for their lands in Delhi, Haryana etc. But in U.P. farmers were cheated said Rahul Gandhi. No farmers are against the development. But they should not be looted in the name of development, he added.

Congress charges BJP CM for criminal collusion with Advani

It is most unfortunate that major source of corruption in the country is BJP. In a recent case of BJP corruption is Khushabhau Thakre Trust and land allotment in Madhya Pradesh. Advani, Venkaiah Naidu and Murli Manohar Joshi – the very top leadership of BJP - were all Trustees of that Trust. Kailash Joshi was the Secretary of the Trust. The scandal was that even six months before the Trust formally came into existence over 20 acres of land was allotted to the Trust. Land use was changed from public land to semi-public and then for the use of the Trust thereby, at every stage, there was criminal collusion between the government of Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and the senior leadership including L.K. Advani of the BJP. The Hon’ble Supreme Court subsequently set aside the allotment of the land passing orders and directed the Khushabhau Thakre Trust to return the land to the people. This was an act of shameful blatant and completely brazen corruption on the part of the BJP.
