Congress (I) has declared UP as the most corrupt state and demanded CBI probe in MNREGA scan in the Mayawati government. Congress (I) kisan mahapanchayat in Ramnagar has accused the sate government of being involved in MNREGA scams. The Mayawati government has asked local agencies to probe MNREGA scam. But Congress (I) has expressed doubts over local agencies’ competence to investigate this massive scam in central funds. Congress (I) has therefore demanded a CBI inquiry into the entire case. Congress (I) has said if the state government is not involved in the entire exercise of expanding of MNREGA funds then why it is hesitating from a CBI investigation? Anti-Congress governments in the state have been playing with the interests of local people. “If Team Anna actually wants to continue fight against corruption, they should come to Uttar Pradesh to see the real situation,’ said the Congress (I) spokesman.
