Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while addressing an election meeting at Bhawanigarh in Amethi, on the second day of her second leg of campaign in Amethi and Raebareli, urged the people to strengthen the hands of Congress by supporting and electing Congress candidates in the upcoming assembly election in Uttar Pradesh. She added that her party Congress identifies the rights of people and makes policies based on them.
But in these 22 years other states surged ahead, progressed and could strengthen their future. But here the situation is that you are being victimised by those who are supposed to serve you and ensure your security. You are forced to beg for your rights… They think that you will be obliged if they do any minor developmental works here and there… But the reality is that this is your right.


The people who believe in real ethics of politics realize this fact. They understand that it is their responsibility to go to the people, realize their difficulties and find solutions. They also know that it is their duty to serve you. But the present politics in your state is not like this. Here it is the politics of opportunism. Leaders come to you and seek support in the name of caste or religion. They betray you by giving various types of promises and snatch your rights.
