Rahul Gandhi ‘connect’ swing people towards Congress (I)

Hitting out against Mayawati for running most corrupt government and not giving attention to the issues of the common man, Congress has said that its General Secretary Rahul Gandhi’s connect with the poor in their villages and houses has swung in favor of Congress (I).

‘There is nobody to listen to the poor, but I will hear you”, Rahul Gandhi said while campaigning for UP Assembly elections 2012. To understand their problems on the ground he has been reaching out to the poor. His visits and standing with them have given the poor a sense of assurance that Congress (I) is sincerely attending to their issues. The poor feel that Mayawati shut the door on them after becoming chief minister.

“We do not talk about caste or religion; we talk about the issues of the poor and the aam admi,” said Rahul Gandhi. This has connected the masses with Congress (I). Highlighting that Mayawati’s greed for maya has blinded her towards the problems of the people, he said she does not meet the poor nor does she cares about their problems and added that this his has produced complete disconnect between Mayawati government and the masses. Urging the people to vote for change, he assured that Congress (I) would provide a government that will be responsive to the issues of the poor and the aam admi.
