Crediting the people for heavy voter turnout in the current Assembly elections, AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said it is indicative of the enthusiasm of the youth to support Congress (I) fight for providing a better future to the people of UP. “Youth are supporting the Congress all over and this is the reason that voter turnout is touching 60 to 65%", said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Unnao for the ongoing Assembly elections.
Bringing home the point to the audience as to hindrance put in its way to usher progress and development in UP, he said, “Both hands are required for doing work... there is a Congress government at the centre but not in the state of U.P. So only one hand is working... give us government in UP and both hands would work.”
Highlighting that Congress (I) wants to change the state and not talk about caste or religion, Rahul Gandhi exhorted the voters to give five years to his party to form the government and assured that a government of the poor and aam admi by Congress will work for their welfare and development of the state.
