Hitting hard against Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav as also BJP for mismanaging the state over the last 22 years, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said these parties have looted Uttar Pradesh and its people. Maximum funds were made available by Congress (I)-led UPA government for the development of UP, Rahul Gandhi said while campaigning for the ongoing Assembly elections. Yet there is no development in the state, he added. Twenty two years is a sufficient time for bringing in visible development yet nothing was done by any of these parties. While BJP kept talking of construction of temple, Mulayam Singh Yadav kept on giving lofty promises to the people. These party governments bid their time in government and left without doing any thing for the people. The present Mayawati government promised to work for poor but made away with funds meant for implementation on welfare schemes for the poor. Highlighting that these parties kept fooling the people, Rahul Gandhi urged the people not to trust them any more. He appealed the people to vote for Congress (I) and assured that a government of the poor by Congress (I) will work for their welfare.
