Rahul Gandhi promises to develop UP into a leading state

He reminded the people that UP was once a leading state in the country. Rahul Gandhi added that that during the last two decades no further development took place and the state has therefore become one of the most backward states. These non-Congress parties have taken the state backward instead of taking it forward said the Congress leader. They played casteist politics which was meant to benefit only particular caste, he said. Such parties indulged in corruption for personal gain, said Rahul Gandhi adding that welfare of the people was forgotten. “I will change the face of the state if people decide to vote Congress (I) to power in upcoming Assembly elections,” said Rahul Gandhi and assured full development and responsible government to the people.
