Congress (I): Mayawati is mired in corruption

What Congress (I) has been saying all along has started snowballing into political storm. All other political parties have also started alleging rampant corruption in the BSP regime in Uttar Pradesh. Now apart from Congress (I) other parties are demanding that a fresh case of disproportionate assets should be lodged against Chief Minister Mayawati. People are sure Mayawati and her ministers have assets in excess of their known sources of income and many of them are already facing an inquiry. A fresh case of disproportionate assets should be lodged against Mayawati and an inquiry is needed to examine into properties acquired by her after 2007. One local Congress (I) leader in Lucknow said Mayawati seems to be working under illusion that whatever she is doing is her right as the Chief Minister. Congress (I) said Mayawati has been in power for last eight years yet she has not been able to root out corruption in the state. Rather corruption and crime have increased exponentially in the state, said Congress (I).
