Congress claims that the Dalits are annoyed with Mayawati

Accusing Mayawati for cheating the dalits and poor by offering them fake promises, Congress (I) has said that Mayawati failed to fulfill the aspirations of the dalits and poor. “She promised to work for dalit. Innocent poor believing it voted for her. But once in power Mayawati forget them and assumed arrogance towards them” alleged the Congress. Congress also pointed out that Congress government had given land to landless poor. But Mayawati forcibly acquired those lands and resold those lands to private builders and made huge amount of profit, alleged Congress. This confirms that BSP Supremo has been working in the interest of the rich and against the interests of the dalits and poor, argued the Congress party. Mayawati has also shown no interest in controlling atrocities and rape crime against dalit women. She has only been handing out cheques to such victims at public meetings thus adding insult to their injuries, said Congress (I).

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who has been campaigning in U.P too had attacked Mayawati and her Government for the rampant corruption and misrule in the state.

Congress (I): Non-Congress parties have lost trust of people

AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing various public rallies in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh alleged that non-Congress parties like BJP, SP and BSP are responsible for the pathetic living conditions in the state.

Rahul Gandhi said that these parties have lost their relevance in Uttar Pradesh because of corruption and non-performance. The people tried these parties over the last two decades and had bitter experience of their governments, he said. BJP played with emotions of the people and promoted its ideology rather than development of the state, Rahul Gandhi further said.

Samajwadi Party led by Mulalyam Singh Yadav promoted caste based politics and brought musclemen to rough up political dissenters, he said adding Mayawati government turned out to be worst for promoting corruption. Highlighting that these parties are doing similar anti-people activities at the Centre, Rahul Gandhi said, BJP is now better known as party of thieves. Because it has accepted former ministers of Mayawati against whom there are corruption charges. Mayawati opposed FDI in retail because she is not interested in development of the state, said Rahul Gandhi.

Mayawati’s image makeup will not work: Congress (I)

Flaying Mayawati for dropping her ministers from the Cabinet day by day and that too only one month before the election, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that Mayawati is trying to fool the people. Although no reason for dropping the ministers has been given everybody knows that the real reason is their involvement in corrupt activities and misuse of official position. Congress (I) and people had all along been raising voice against corruption but Mayawati each time looked to the other side. Now when elections have been declared Mayawati has suddenly started dropping the ministers so that her image is not adversely affected by their corrupt practices. So far she has dropped or sacked twenty ministers, fifteen of them just within last two months alone. She is also replacing as many as 110 sitting MLAs in coming elections. These antics by Mayawati at the last moment cannot make up her already dented image, said Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.
