Congress claims that the Dalits are annoyed with Mayawati

Accusing Mayawati for cheating the dalits and poor by offering them fake promises, Congress (I) has said that Mayawati failed to fulfill the aspirations of the dalits and poor. “She promised to work for dalit. Innocent poor believing it voted for her. But once in power Mayawati forget them and assumed arrogance towards them” alleged the Congress. Congress also pointed out that Congress government had given land to landless poor. But Mayawati forcibly acquired those lands and resold those lands to private builders and made huge amount of profit, alleged Congress. This confirms that BSP Supremo has been working in the interest of the rich and against the interests of the dalits and poor, argued the Congress party. Mayawati has also shown no interest in controlling atrocities and rape crime against dalit women. She has only been handing out cheques to such victims at public meetings thus adding insult to their injuries, said Congress (I).

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who has been campaigning in U.P too had attacked Mayawati and her Government for the rampant corruption and misrule in the state.
