Congress (I): Non-Congress parties have lost trust of people

AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing various public rallies in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh alleged that non-Congress parties like BJP, SP and BSP are responsible for the pathetic living conditions in the state.

Rahul Gandhi said that these parties have lost their relevance in Uttar Pradesh because of corruption and non-performance. The people tried these parties over the last two decades and had bitter experience of their governments, he said. BJP played with emotions of the people and promoted its ideology rather than development of the state, Rahul Gandhi further said.

Samajwadi Party led by Mulalyam Singh Yadav promoted caste based politics and brought musclemen to rough up political dissenters, he said adding Mayawati government turned out to be worst for promoting corruption. Highlighting that these parties are doing similar anti-people activities at the Centre, Rahul Gandhi said, BJP is now better known as party of thieves. Because it has accepted former ministers of Mayawati against whom there are corruption charges. Mayawati opposed FDI in retail because she is not interested in development of the state, said Rahul Gandhi.
