Rahul Gandhi starts of UP campaign

The Indian National Congress, a few days back, sounded the poll bugle in Uttar Pradesh kicking in the campaign for Assembly elections to take place this January. In Phulpur, the AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi hit the much awaited campaign trail.

The Youth Congress icon will speak on the law and order situation in the heartland state of India. He has recently been exposing a lot of deficiencies and malfunctioning in the ruling state government under the BSP chief Mayawati.

Rahul's election strategy is to corner the Mayawati government on the issues of lawlessness, misrule, malpractice and crime against women. The party's slogan for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled in 2012 is “utho, jaago, badlo” (rise, awaken and change). The party has also coined another slogan “Jawab Hum Dengein” (we will give a reply).

The Congress leader’s feathers are in high spirit. There has been so much of energy and concerns in the preparations for the much speculated campaign. Now, since it has started people will be exposed to political reach and mass appeal of different leaders.
