BJP and BSP are equally corrupt, alleges Rahul Gandhi

Addressing a mammoth public rally in Noida as part of his recent campaign for the last UP assembly polls, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said that both BSP and BJP are equally corrupt. “The corrupt ministers removed by Mayawati were inducted by the BJP,” alleged the Congress General Secretary. Rahul Gandhi also attacked BJP for its double-speak on corruption and Lokpal.

“Just ahead of the assembly elections, Mayawati axed some of her ministers on the charges of corruption after allowing them to loot the people for the past five years. Mayawati removed the ministers and the BJP inducted them. BJP inducted the corrupt Kushawaha into its fold but talks loudly against corruption,” argued Rahul Gandhi.

Questioning the intention of senior BJP leader LK Advani, Rahul Gandhi commented, “BJP’s senior leader undertook a nation-wide rath yatra against corruption. But the corruption in the BJP ruled states like Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh was not visible for him.”

The Congress MP from Amethi slammed BJP for its doublespeak of BJP on corruption and said, “when Congress brought a strong constitutional Lokpal bill in the Parliament – like Election Commission - BJP blocked it by saying that such a bill was the dream of Manmohan Singh Ji and Sonia Ji”. “But it is the dream of aam aadmi,” said Rahul Gandhi amidst cheers from the crowd.
