Rahul Gandhi flays non-Congress parties for their politics of divide and rule in UP

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said once during a press conference, “when I see some one, I never think which religion he belongs to or which caste. For me he is an Indian, he is Hindustani. I treat every Indian as equal”.

Yes, that is his vision and he keeps on repeating this wherever he goes. That is what he tried to explain during his recent Congress campaign in UP too.

Inviting the attention of the people towards the lack of development in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had slammed non-Congress parties in the state for indulging in a politics of divide and rule to garner support of the voters. “Non-Congress parties are playing politics of divide and rule in Uttar Pradesh. People of different castes and religion are made to fight amongst each other. Then they rule and this is what is going on in the state for 22 years,” Rahul Gandhi had said during his campaign.

He also criticized Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav for using the Muslims as his vote bank., Rahul Gandhi alleged that Mulayam had done nothing for Muslims. “Mulayam Ji had been the Chief Minister of the state thrice but did nothing. Neither he made efforts to improve their education, nor worked for their development, nor worked for Muslim weavers’ welfare. He just did one thing, gather votes and nothing else,” said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi further said that only Congress follows inclusive policies which work for benefit of entire people irrespective of their caste or religion
